A new magazine – FutureWest – is helping to spread the word about changes in Newcastle's West End.
Edited by New Deal's Communications Team and backed by Bridging NewcastleGateshead and Newcastle City Council, the first edition includes features from across the West End, highlighting improvements in Elswick, Fenham, Benwell and Scotswood.

After a vote among students at local schools, Excelsior is the name for the new academy that will replace West Gate Community College in 2008.
