Family sports, gardening and story telling are just a few of the other activities on offer, and the centre boasts a large hall, facilities for childcare and recreation as well as an IT suite for computer coaching.

The Nunsmoor Centre has been funded and supported by New Deal for Communities, Sure Start, Newcastle City Council, the European Regional Development Fund and the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.

It opened following a £490,000 restoration project in the park, made possible by New Deal for Communities. |
